Virginia Tech Defeats Syracuse 67-63 - Recap

Virginia Tech got 19 points from Jalen Cone en route to a 67-63 victory over Syracuse on Tuesday at Carrier Dome.

Virginia Tech won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +4.5-point spread as underdogs.

Virginia Tech got 13 points from Landers Nolley II and another 12 points from P.J. Horne. Wabissa Bede contributed 8 assists, while Tyrece Radford cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.

Syracuse got a 18-point performance from Elijah Hughes, who was supported by 12 points from Quincy Guerrier. Joseph Girard III had 2 assists in a losing cause for Syracuse, while Quincy Guerrier grabbed 9 rebounds.

Virginia Tech was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Syracuse had a 32-28 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Virginia Tech looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the North Carolina State. Syracuse will aim to get back on the winning track at Virginia.
