UNC Asheville Falls 64-62 to Campbell - Recap
Campbell grabbed a 64-62 win over UNC Asheville on Wednesday, behind a 16-point effort from Jordan Whitfield at Kimmel Arena.
Campbell got 12 points from Cory Gensler and another 11 points from Ja'Cor Nelson. Jordan Whitfield contributed 5 assists, while Trey Spencer cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
UNC Asheville got 17 points from Tajion Jones in a losing cause and another 16 points from DeVon Baker. Trent Stephney contributed 3 assists for them, while Coty Jude had 7 rebounds.
Campbell was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Campbell won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-29.
Campbell looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Radford. UNC Asheville will aim to get back on the winning track at Charleston Southern.
