Appalachian State Defeats Arkansas State 83-80 - Recap

Appalachian State grabbed a 83-80 win over Arkansas State on Thursday, behind a 20-point effort from Justin Forrest at Holmes Convocation Center.

Appalachian State won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -5.5-point spread.

Adrian Delph had 15 points for Appalachian State and O'Showen Williams chipped in with 14 points. O'Showen Williams had 3 assists for them, while O'Showen Williams was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.

Arkansas State got a 17-point performance from Melo Eggleston, who was supported by 13 points from Jerry Johnson. Marquis Eaton had 3 assists in a losing cause for Arkansas State, while Malik Brevard grabbed 13 rebounds.

Appalachian State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Arkansas State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 44-36.

Next game, Appalachian State takes its act home to face Arkansas-Little Rock looking for another win. For Arkansas State, they head on the road to face Coastal Carolina.
