Utah Valley grabbed a 73-69 win over Grand Canyon on Saturday, behind a 24-point effort from TJ Washington at Grand Canyon University Arena.
Utah Valley won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +6.0-point spread as underdogs.
Utah Valley got 10 points from Isaiah White and another 10 points from Casdon Jardine. Brandon Averette contributed 6 assists, while Casdon Jardine cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
Grand Canyon got 21 points from Carlos Johnson in a losing cause and another 20 points from Alessandro Lever. Alessandro Lever contributed 4 assists for them, while Alessandro Lever had 14 rebounds.
Utah Valley was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Grand Canyon had a 36-35 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
