Kentucky Defeats Vanderbilt 71-62 - Recap

Kentucky got 17 points from Tyrese Maxey en route to a 71-62 victory over Vanderbilt on Wednesday at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center.

Kentucky won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -20.5-point spread.

Kentucky got 15 points from Nick Richards and another 12 points from Ashton Hagans. Ashton Hagans contributed 6 assists, while Nick Richards cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.

Vanderbilt got a 21-point performance from Saben Lee, who was supported by 13 points from Dylan Disu. Saben Lee had 4 assists in a losing cause for Vanderbilt, while Dylan Disu grabbed 11 rebounds.

Kentucky was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Kentucky had a 32-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, Kentucky takes its act on the road to face Auburn looking for another win. For Vanderbilt, they head home to face Florida.
