Nicholls State Defeats Lamar 69-65 - Recap
Nicholls State got 19 points from Dexter McClanahan as they ran past Lamar 69-65 on Wednesday at David R. Stopher Gym.
Nicholls State got 11 points from Andre Jones and another 11 points from Kevin Johnson. Andre Jones contributed 4 assists, while Elvis Harvey Jr. cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Lamar got a 24-point performance from Avery Sullivan, who was supported by 21 points from T.J. Atwood. Anderson Kopp had 3 assists in a losing cause for Lamar, while T.J. Atwood grabbed 9 rebounds.
Lamar won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 30-26.
Nicholls State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Southeastern Louisiana. Lamar will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Houston Baptist.
