Yale Defeats Princeton 66-63 - Recap

Paul Atkinson scored 18 points leading Yale to a 66-63 victory over Princeton at John J. Lee Amphitheater on Saturday.

Yale won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -8.5-point spread.

Azar Swain had 11 points for Yale and Jordan Bruner chipped in with 11 points. Jordan Bruner had 4 assists for them, while Jordan Bruner was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.

Princeton got a 21-point performance from Jaelin Llewellyn, who was supported by 16 points from Ethan Wright. Richmond Aririguzoh had 5 assists in a losing cause for Princeton, while Ethan Wright grabbed 11 rebounds.

Yale was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Yale had a 31-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, Yale takes its act on the road to face Dartmouth looking for another win. For Princeton, they head home to face Columbia.
