Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic - Columbia Lions vs Central Connecticut State Blue Devils Recap - Columbia Wins 82-52

The battle between Columbia and Central Connecticut State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Central Connecticut State was handed a 82-52 defeat on Sunday at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Columbia was a favorite by -15.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors.

Mike Smith had 20 points for Columbia and Jake Killingsworth chipped in with 17 points. Luke Bolster had 4 assists for them, while Randy Brumant was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.

Central Connecticut State got a 14-point performance from Jamir Reed, who was supported by 12 points from Xavier Wilson. Zach Newkirk had 4 assists in a losing cause for Central Connecticut State, while Greg Outlaw grabbed 7 rebounds.

Columbia led at halftime, 48-27.

Columbia had a 41-21 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Columbia heads into a battle against Lehigh. Central Connecticut State, meanwhile, will have their next action against UMass-Lowell.
