UTEP Falls 74-65 to North Texas - Recap
North Texas grabbed a 74-65 win over UTEP on Saturday, behind a 13-point effort from Zachary Simmons at The Super Pit.
North Texas won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -7.5-point spread as favorites.
North Texas got 13 points from Javion Hamlet and another 11 points from Rubin Jones. Javion Hamlet contributed 5 assists, while James Reese cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
UTEP got 17 points from Bryson Williams in a losing cause and another 15 points from Christian Agnew. Souley Boum contributed 3 assists for them, while Tydus Verhoeven had 8 rebounds.
North Texas had a 29-27 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
North Texas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Old Dominion. UTEP will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Louisiana Tech.
