The battle between Idaho State and Idaho didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Idaho was handed a 69-43 defeat on Thursday at Reed Gym.
Idaho State was a -8.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.
Idaho State got 14 points from Tarik Cool and another 12 points from Austin Smellie. Austin Smellie contributed 2 assists, while Robert Ford III cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Idaho got 9 points from Ja'Vary Christmas in a losing cause and another 7 points from Ethan Kilgore. Ja'Vary Christmas contributed 3 assists for them, while Damen Thacker had 5 rebounds.
Idaho State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Idaho State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 40-26.
