Recap - Purdue Defeats Valparaiso 68-61

Purdue got 19 points from Sasha Stefanovic en route to a 68-61 victory over Valparaiso on Friday at Mackey Arena.

Purdue won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -14.5-point spread.

Purdue got 17 points from Trevion Williams and another 14 points from Isaiah Thompson. Sasha Stefanovic contributed 3 assists, while Trevion Williams cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.

Valparaiso got 15 points from Nick Robinson in a losing cause and another 12 points from Jacob Ognacevic. Daniel Sackey contributed 5 assists for them, while Donovan Clay had 6 rebounds.

Purdue trailed at halftime, 34-24.

Valparaiso had a 31-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, Purdue takes its act on the road to face Miami looking for another win. For Valparaiso, they head home to face Judson.
