Southern Falls 103-76 to Iowa - Recap
The battle between Iowa and Southern didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Southern was handed a 103-76 defeat on Friday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Luka Garza had 41 points for Iowa and Joe Wieskamp chipped in with 16 points. Jordan Bohannon had 7 assists for them, while Luka Garza was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Southern got a 13-point performance from Ahsante Shivers, who was supported by 12 points from Jayden Saddler. Jayden Saddler had 5 assists in a losing cause for Southern, while Kirk Parker grabbed 8 rebounds.
Iowa was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Next game, Iowa takes its act home to face Western Illinois looking for another win. For Southern, they head on the road to face Gonzaga.
