Houston Defeats Temple 76-50 - Recap
The battle between Houston and Temple didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Temple was handed a 76-50 defeat on Tuesday at Fertitta Center.
Bettors who backed Houston were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -17.0 at sportsbooks.
Quentin Grimes had 22 points for Houston and Justin Gorham chipped in with 14 points. DeJon Jarreau had 4 assists for them, while Justin Gorham was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.
Temple got a 12-point performance from J.P. Moorman II, who was supported by 9 points from Brendan Barry. Jeremiah Williams had 4 assists in a losing cause for Temple, while De'Vondre Perry grabbed 8 rebounds.
Houston was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Next game, Houston takes its act on the road to face Central Florida looking for another win. For Temple, they head home to face Southern Methodist.
