Recap - Towson Defeats Coppin State 78-73
Towson grabbed a 78-73 win over Coppin State on Saturday, behind a 18-point effort from Nicolas Timberlake at SECU Arena.
Towson got 12 points from Juwan Gray and another 12 points from Charles Thompson. Zane Martin contributed 4 assists, while Charles Thompson cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Coppin State got a 23-point performance from Koby Thomas, who was supported by 16 points from Kenan Sarvan. Kyle Cardaci had 5 assists in a losing cause for Coppin State, while Koby Thomas grabbed 10 rebounds.
Towson was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Towson had a 51-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Towson takes its act on the road to face Iona looking for another win. For Coppin State, they head on the road to face Rider.
