Syracuse Defeats Drexel 75-60 - Recap
Buddy Boeheim scored 23 points leading Syracuse to a 75-60 victory over Drexel at Carrier Dome on Sunday.
Syracuse did not, however, defeat Drexel against the spread, which closed at -15.5 at most sportsbooks.
Syracuse got 14 points from Jimmy Boeheim and another 11 points from Cole Swider. Joseph Girard III contributed 5 assists, while Frank Anselem cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
Drexel got a 16-point performance from Mate Okros, who was supported by 11 points from Camren Wynter. Trevion Brown had 4 assists in a losing cause for Drexel, while Amari Williams grabbed 6 rebounds.
Syracuse had a 23-21 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Syracuse heads into a battle against Colgate. Drexel, meanwhile, will have their next action against Saint Joseph's.
