Charleston Classic - Recap - St. Bonaventure Defeats Boise State 67-61
St. Bonaventure grabbed a 67-61 win over Boise State on Thursday, behind a 17-point effort from Kyle Lofton at TD Arena.
St. Bonaventure won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -3.5-point spread as favorites.
Jaren Holmes had 14 points for St. Bonaventure and Dominick Welch chipped in with 12 points. Kyle Lofton had 7 assists for them, while Jaren Holmes was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Boise State got 24 points from Emmanuel Akot in a losing cause and another 10 points from Marcus Shaver Jr.. Emmanuel Akot contributed 3 assists for them, while Mladen Armus had 10 rebounds.
St. Bonaventure was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
St. Bonaventure won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-28.
Next game, St. Bonaventure takes its act home to face Northern Iowa looking for another win. For Boise State, they head home to face Cal State-Bakersfield.
