Army Black Knights vs LIU Sharks Recap - LIU Wins 90-65
The battle between LIU and Army didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Army was handed a 90-65 defeat on Sunday at Steinberg Wellness Center.
Eral Penn had 23 points for LIU and Ty Flowers chipped in with 17 points. Tre Wood had 7 assists for them, while Isaac Kante was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Army got a 11-point performance from Josh Caldwell, who was supported by 10 points from Kwabena Davis. Aaron Duhart had 5 assists in a losing cause for Army, while AJ Allenspach grabbed 10 rebounds.
LIU was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
LIU had a 44-40 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
LIU heads into a battle against Sacred Heart. Army, meanwhile, will have their next action against South Carolina.
