Louisiana-Monroe Defeats Lamar 80-77 - Recap

Louisiana-Monroe got a 25-point performance from Russell Harrison as they ran past Lamar 80-77 on Monday at Montagne Center.

Louisiana-Monroe won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -6.0-point spread.

Thomas Howell had 17 points for Louisiana-Monroe and Andre Jones chipped in with 16 points. Andre Jones had 8 assists for them, while Russell Harrison was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 8 boards.

Lamar got 21 points from Jordyn Adams in a losing cause and another 15 points from C.J. Roberts. Kasen Harrison contributed 6 assists for them, while Corey Nickerson had 11 rebounds.

Louisiana-Monroe was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Lamar won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-25.
