Recap - Kentucky Defeats Vanderbilt 77-70

Kentucky earned a 77-70 victory over Vanderbilt on Wednesday, getting 21 points from Davion Mintz at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center.

Kentucky did not, however, defeat Vanderbilt against the spread, which closed at -14.5 at most sportsbooks.

Keion Brooks Jr. had 20 points for Kentucky and Kellan Grady chipped in with 12 points. Sahvir Wheeler had 9 assists for them, while Oscar Tshiebwe was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 17 boards.

Vanderbilt got 33 points from Scotty Pippen Jr. in a losing cause and another 14 points from Jordan Wright. Scotty Pippen Jr. contributed 5 assists for them, while Jordan Wright had 10 rebounds.

Kentucky was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Vanderbilt won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-29.

Next game, Kentucky takes its act on the road to face Alabama looking for another win. For Vanderbilt, they head home to face LSU.
