Vermont got 24 points from Ben Shungu as they ran past UMass-Lowell 78-67 on Saturday at Costello Athletic Center.
Vermont got 20 points from Ryan Davis and another 12 points from Isaiah Powell. Robin Duncan contributed 4 assists, while Ryan Davis cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
UMass-Lowell got 19 points from Allin Blunt in a losing cause and another 14 points from Max Brooks. Anthony Blunt contributed 3 assists for them, while John Hall had 8 rebounds.
Vermont was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Vermont won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 29-27.
Next game, Vermont takes its act home to face Binghamton looking for another win. For UMass-Lowell, they head home to face Hartford.
