Creighton vs Butler Final: 54-52 - Recap
Arthur Kaluma scored 16 points leading Creighton to a 54-52 victory over Butler at CHI Health Center Omaha on Tuesday.
Creighton did not, however, defeat Butler against the spread, which closed at -7.5 at most sportsbooks.
Creighton got 15 points from Ryan Hawkins and another 8 points from Trey Alexander. Ryan Nembhard contributed 2 assists, while Alex O'Connell cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Butler got a 13-point performance from Jayden Taylor, who was supported by 10 points from Bo Hodges. Aaron Thompson had 2 assists in a losing cause for Butler, while Bryce Golden grabbed 9 rebounds.
Creighton trailed at halftime, 30-27.
Butler had a 34-30 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Creighton looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Georgetown University. Butler will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Marquette.
