Ty Flowers scored 29 points and chipped in with 12 rebounds for LIU on Saturday, leading them to a 99-88 victory over Bryant at Steinberg Wellness Center.
LIU got 24 points from Isaac Kante and another 24 points from Eral Penn. Ty Flowers contributed 4 assists, while Ty Flowers cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Bryant got a 30-point performance from Peter Kiss, who was supported by 14 points from Greg Calixte. Charles Pride had 6 assists in a losing cause for Bryant, while Charles Pride grabbed 15 rebounds.
LIU was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Bryant won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 46-42.
Next game, LIU takes its act on the road to face St. Francis-Pennsylvania looking for another win. For Bryant, they head home to face Central Connecticut State.
