Southern Utah cruised to victory on Saturday, running Sacramento State out of the gym and running up a 83-57 score at The Hornets Nest.
Southern Utah won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -7.5-point spread as favorites.
Southern Utah got 19 points from Tevian Jones and another 15 points from Maizen Fausett. John Knight III contributed 5 assists, while Maizen Fausett cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Sacramento State got 21 points from Bryce Fowler in a losing cause and another 12 points from Jonathan Komagum. Deshaun Highler contributed 4 assists for them, while Jonathan Komagum had 9 rebounds.
Southern Utah was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Southern Utah won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-25.
Southern Utah looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Northern Colorado. Sacramento State will aim to get back on the winning track at Weber State.
