Fordham Rams vs UMass Minutemen Recap - UMass Wins 81-73
UMass grabbed a 81-73 win over Fordham on Wednesday, behind a 17-point effort from T.J. Weeks Jr. at William D. Mullins Center.
UMass won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -4.0-point spread as favorites.
Rich Kelly had 15 points for UMass and Trent Buttrick chipped in with 11 points. Noah Fernandes had 6 assists for them, while T.J. Weeks Jr. was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Fordham got 15 points from Darius Quisenberry in a losing cause and another 14 points from Chuba Ohams. Antrell Charlton contributed 5 assists for them, while Chuba Ohams had 12 rebounds.
UMass was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Fordham won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-34.
UMass heads into a battle against George Mason. Fordham, meanwhile, will have their next action against George Washington.
