Vermont got 17 points from Isaiah Powell and another 17 points from Ryan Davis. Ben Shungu contributed 6 assists, while Nick Fiorillo cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Colgate got 21 points from Tucker Richardson in a losing cause and another 16 points from Jack Ferguson. Ryan Moffatt contributed 4 assists for them, while Jack Ferguson had 9 rebounds.
Vermont was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Vermont won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-33.
Vermont looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Albany. Colgate will aim to get back on the winning track at Lafayette.
