Long Beach State grabbed a 68-62 win over UC Riverside on Thursday, behind a 16-point effort from Colin Slater at Student Recreation Center.
Long Beach State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +5.5-point spread as underdogs.
Long Beach State got 14 points from Jadon Jones and another 13 points from Joel Murray. Joel Murray contributed 5 assists, while Aboubacar Traore cleaned the glass with 23 rebounds.
UC Riverside got a 23-point performance from Zyon Pullin, who was supported by 13 points from Flynn Cameron. Zyon Pullin had 5 assists in a losing cause for UC Riverside, while Callum McRae grabbed 11 rebounds.
Long Beach State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
