Recap - Western Kentucky Defeats Southern Mississippi 87-77

Southern Mississippi was burned for 26 points by Dayvion McKnight on Monday as Western Kentucky picked up a 87-77 win at Reed Green Coliseum.

Western Kentucky won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -12.0-point spread.

Camron Justice had 24 points for Western Kentucky and Luke Frampton chipped in with 13 points. Camron Justice had 5 assists for them, while Jamarion Sharp was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.

Southern Mississippi got 25 points from Isaih Moore in a losing cause and another 15 points from Tyler Stevenson. Walyn Napper contributed 11 assists for them, while Isaih Moore had 12 rebounds.

Western Kentucky was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Southern Mississippi had a 36-27 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, Western Kentucky takes its act home to face Charlotte looking for another win. For Southern Mississippi, they head home to face UTSA.
