Sacred Heart was victimized for 24 points and 10 rebounds by Jordan Minor as Merrimack defeated them 70-63 in NCAA action on Tuesday.
Merrimack got 12 points from Mikey Watkins and another 11 points from Mykel Derring. Malik Edmead contributed 6 assists, while Jordan Minor cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Sacred Heart got 16 points from Nico Galette in a losing cause and another 16 points from Aaron Clarke. Tyler Thomas contributed 5 assists for them, while Bryce Johnson had 10 rebounds.
Merrimack was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Sacred Heart won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 28-26.
Next game, Merrimack takes its act home to face Fairleigh Dickinson looking for another win. For Sacred Heart, they head home to face Wagner.
