Recap - Rutgers Defeats Bucknell 85-50
The battle between Rutgers and Bucknell didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Bucknell was handed a 85-50 defeat on Friday at Jersey Mike's Arena.
Rutgers got 17 points from Clifford Omoruyi and another 14 points from Caleb McConnell. Caleb McConnell contributed 7 assists, while Clifford Omoruyi cleaned the glass with 14 rebounds.
Bucknell got 13 points from Xander Rice in a losing cause and another 10 points from Ian Motta. Andre Screen contributed 3 assists for them, while Andre Screen had 8 rebounds.
Rutgers was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Rutgers had a 43-30 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Rutgers heads into a battle against Coppin State. Bucknell, meanwhile, will have their next action against Holy Cross.
