Mekhi Gray had 15 points for NJIT and Kevin Osawe chipped in with 12 points. Paul McMillian IV had 5 assists for them, while Souleymane Diakite was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Sacred Heart got 23 points from Nico Galette in a losing cause and another 19 points from Raheem Solomon. Joey Reilly contributed 3 assists for them, while Bryce Johnson had 11 rebounds.
