Holy Cross Crusaders vs Creighton Bluejays Wrap - Creighton Wins 94-65
The battle between Creighton and Holy Cross didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Holy Cross was handed a 94-65 defeat on Monday at CHI Health Center Omaha.
Creighton got 22 points from Ryan Kalkbrenner and another 13 points from Ben Shtolzberg. Ryan Nembhard contributed 12 assists, while Baylor Scheierman cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Holy Cross got 21 points from Bo Montgomery in a losing cause and another 16 points from Gerrale Gates. Nolan Dorsey contributed 4 assists for them, while Caleb Kenney had 5 rebounds.
Creighton was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Creighton won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 40-26.
Creighton heads into a battle against UC Riverside. Holy Cross, meanwhile, will have their next action against Stonehill College.
