UIC got 22 points from Jace Carter en route to a 81-73 victory over Northeastern on Sunday at Credit Union 1 Arena.
UIC won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -1.5-point spread as favorites.
UIC got 19 points from Toby Okani and another 15 points from Christian Jones. Filip Skobalj contributed 4 assists, while Toby Okani cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
Northeastern got 20 points from Jahmyl Telfort in a losing cause and another 15 points from Jared Turner. Chris Doherty contributed 4 assists for them, while Chris Doherty had 7 rebounds.
UIC was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Northeastern had a 33-27 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
UIC looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Northwestern. Northeastern will aim to get back on the winning track at Davidson.
