Recap - UMBC Defeats Lafayette 71-63
UMBC got 19 points from Matteo Picarelli en route to a 71-63 victory over Lafayette on Friday at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena.
Colton Lawrence had 14 points for UMBC and Jarvis Doles chipped in with 11 points. Jacob Boonyasith had 4 assists for them, while Colton Lawrence was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.
Lafayette got 22 points from Leo O'Boyle in a losing cause and another 16 points from Kyle Jenkins. CJ Fulton contributed 5 assists for them, while Kyle Jenkins had 8 rebounds.
Lafayette had a 25-23 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
