Recap - UMass-Lowell Defeats LIU 84-64
The battle between UMass-Lowell and LIU didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as LIU was handed a 84-64 defeat on Monday at Steinberg Wellness Center.
UMass-Lowell got 22 points from Yuri Covington and another 18 points from Everette Hammond. Everette Hammond contributed 4 assists, while Abdoul Karim Coulibaly cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
LIU got a 18-point performance from Jacob Johnson, who was supported by 15 points from R.J. Greene. Quion Burns had 3 assists in a losing cause for LIU, while Jacob Johnson grabbed 9 rebounds.
UMass-Lowell was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMass-Lowell won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 30-27.
UMass-Lowell looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UMass. LIU will aim to get back on the winning track at Connecticut.
