VMI Keydets vs Samford Bulldogs Recap - Samford Wins 87-78
Logan Dye scored 19 points leading Samford to a 87-78 victory over VMI at Pete Hanna Center on Wednesday.
Samford won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -13.5-point spread.
Samford got 16 points from Jermaine Marshall and another 13 points from Nathan Johnson. Jermaine Marshall contributed 6 assists, while Jermaine Marshall cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
VMI got 15 points from Asher Woods in a losing cause and another 14 points from Tyler Houser. Tony Felder Jr. contributed 6 assists for them, while Taeshaud Jackson II had 6 rebounds.
Samford was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Samford had a 32-23 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Samford looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UNC Greensboro. VMI will aim to get back on the winning track at Chattanooga.
