Wagner got 12 points from Rahmir Moore and another 9 points from Julian Brown. Javier Ezquerra contributed 5 assists, while Keyontae Lewis cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
LIU got 12 points from Jacob Johnson in a losing cause and another 8 points from Tre Wood. Andre Washington contributed 4 assists for them, while Marko Maletic had 6 rebounds.
Wagner was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Wagner won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-26.
Wagner heads into a battle against Central Connecticut State. LIU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Stonehill College.
