Recap - Duquesne Defeats Rhode Island 72-61

Duquesne grabbed a 72-61 win over Rhode Island on Saturday, behind a 18-point effort from Joe Reece at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Duquesne was the ATS victor, as they covered the -9.0-point spread as a favorite.

Duquesne got 14 points from Dae Dae Grant and another 13 points from Jimmy Clark III. Tevin Brewer contributed 6 assists, while Dae Dae Grant cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.

Rhode Island got a 15-point performance from Jalen Carey, who was supported by 10 points from Ishmael Leggett. Ishmael Leggett had 3 assists in a losing cause for Rhode Island, while Malik Martin grabbed 11 rebounds.

Duquesne was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Duquesne won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-37.

Next game, Duquesne takes its act home to face VCU looking for another win. For Rhode Island, they head home to face Fordham.
