Recap - Albany Defeats UMBC 81-74
Albany grabbed a 81-74 win over UMBC on Wednesday, behind a 16-point effort from Gerald Drumgoole Jr. at McDonough Sports Complex.
Jonathan Beagle had 16 points for Albany and Trey Hutcheson chipped in with 14 points. Da'Kquan Davis had 4 assists for them, while Jonathan Beagle was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 15 boards.
UMBC got 24 points from Matteo Picarelli in a losing cause and another 14 points from Craig Beaudion II. Craig Beaudion II contributed 6 assists for them, while Tra'Von Fagan had 10 rebounds.
Albany was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Albany had a 34-30 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
