Recap - George Washington Defeats Rhode Island 89-80

George Washington got a 25-point performance from James Bishop IV as they ran past Rhode Island 89-80 on Wednesday at Thomas M. Ryan Center.

George Washington won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +2.5-point spread as underdogs.

Brendan Adams had 22 points for George Washington and Hunter Dean chipped in with 17 points. James Bishop IV had 6 assists for them, while Hunter Dean was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.

Rhode Island got 30 points from Ishmael Leggett in a losing cause and another 21 points from Malik Martin. Sebastian Thomas contributed 6 assists for them, while Malik Martin had 8 rebounds.

George Washington led at halftime, 39-32.

George Washington looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the La Salle. Rhode Island will aim to get back on the winning track at Fordham.
