Old Westbury Panthers vs Hofstra Pride Wrap - Hofstra Wins 96-48
The battle between Hofstra and Old Westbury didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Old Westbury was handed a 96-48 defeat on Thursday at Mack Sports Complex.
Darlinstone Dubar had 23 points for Hofstra and Amar'e Marshall chipped in with 15 points. Jaquan Carlos had 13 assists for them, while Warren Williams was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 14 boards.
Old Westbury got a 20-point performance from Zachary Cummings, who was supported by 7 points from Max Weinberg. Chris Smith had 4 assists in a losing cause for Old Westbury, while Max Weinberg grabbed 11 rebounds.
Hofstra was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Hofstra won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 50-33.
