UMBC vs Lehigh Final: 88-62 - Recap
The battle between UMBC and Lehigh didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Lehigh was handed a 88-62 defeat on Saturday at Stabler Arena.
Jacob Boonyasith had 17 points for UMBC and Colton Lawrence chipped in with 15 points. Craig Beaudion II had 4 assists for them, while Yaw Obeng-Mensah was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Lehigh got a 23-point performance from Tyler Whitney-Sidney, who was supported by 15 points from Jake Betlow. Jalin Sinclair had 5 assists in a losing cause for Lehigh, while Evan Taylor grabbed 6 rebounds.
UMBC was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMBC had a 38-18 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
UMBC looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Columbia. Lehigh will aim to get back on the winning track at Wisconsin.
