Postseason NIT - Recap - UAB Defeats Utah Valley 88-86
UAB got a 30-point performance from Ty Brewer, who added 12 rebounds as UAB ran past Utah Valley 88-86 on Tuesday at Orleans Arena.
UAB did not, however, defeat Utah Valley against the spread, which closed at -4.5 at most sportsbooks.
UAB got 17 points from Jordan Walker and another 13 points from Eric Gaines. Jordan Walker contributed 6 assists, while Ty Brewer cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Utah Valley got 16 points from Trey Woodbury in a losing cause and another 16 points from Justin Harmon. Trey Woodbury contributed 6 assists for them, while Aziz Bandaogo had 16 rebounds.
UAB was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Utah Valley had a 49-42 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
