UMass-Lowell got 14 points from Quinton Mincey and another 13 points from Brayden O'Connor. Ayinde Hikim contributed 5 assists, while Cam Morris III cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
LIU got 17 points from Tana Kopa in a losing cause and another 15 points from Nikola Djapa. Eric Acker contributed 5 assists for them, while Nikola Djapa had 10 rebounds.
UMass-Lowell was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
