The battle between Colgate and Holy Cross didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Holy Cross was handed a 85-55 defeat on Wednesday at Cotterell Court.
Colgate got 15 points from Ryan Moffatt and another 15 points from Keegan Records. Braeden Smith contributed 7 assists, while Ryan Moffatt cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Holy Cross got 13 points from Joe Octave in a losing cause and another 11 points from DeAndre Williams. DeAndre Williams contributed 4 assists for them, while DeAndre Williams had 8 rebounds.
Colgate was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Colgate won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-32.
Colgate heads into a battle against Bucknell. Holy Cross, meanwhile, will have their next action against Army.
