Navy vs Coppin State Final: 75-52 - Recap
The battle between Navy and Coppin State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Coppin State was handed a 75-52 defeat on Sunday at Alumni Hall.
Navy got 12 points from Mac MacDonald and another 11 points from Austin Benigni. Austin Benigni contributed 6 assists, while Donovan Draper cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Coppin State got 14 points from Justin Winston in a losing cause and another 13 points from Toto Fagbenle. Justin Winston contributed 1 assists for them, while Greg Spurlock had 6 rebounds.
Navy was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Navy won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-26.
Next game, Navy takes its act on the road to face George Washington looking for another win. For Coppin State, they head home to face Wagner.
