Miami Falls 72-69 to Syracuse - Recap
Syracuse got 22 points from J.J. Starling as they ran past Miami 72-69 on Saturday at JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse did not, however, defeat Miami against the spread, which closed at -4.0 at most sportsbooks.
Syracuse got 12 points from Chris Bell and another 11 points from Quadir Copeland. Judah Mintz contributed 13 assists, while Maliq Brown cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Miami got a 19-point performance from Nijel Pack, who was supported by 16 points from Matthew Cleveland. Matthew Cleveland had 4 assists in a losing cause for Miami, while Matthew Cleveland grabbed 12 rebounds.
Syracuse had a 35-33 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Syracuse takes its act home to face Florida State looking for another win. For Miami, they head on the road to face Notre Dame.
