Grambling State got 17 points from Jourdan Smith en route to a 69-60 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Monday at Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
Tra'Michael Moton had 14 points for Grambling State and Jalen Johnson chipped in with 11 points. Mikale Stevenson had 2 assists for them, while Antwan Burnett was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 13 boards.
Bethune-Cookman got 15 points from Dhashon Dyson in a losing cause and another 14 points from Seneca Willoughby. Jakobi Heady contributed 3 assists for them, while Reggie Ward Jr. had 7 rebounds.
