NJIT cruised to victory on Friday, running Medgar Evers out of the gym and running up a 127-51 score at Wellness and Events Center.
NJIT got 32 points from Adam Hess and another 16 points from Mekhi Gray. Tariq Francis contributed 6 assists, while Kjell de Graaf cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Medgar Evers got 14 points from Joshua Jean Pierre in a losing cause and another 12 points from Nicholas Guillen. Aaron Cotterel contributed 3 assists for them, while Derek Wicker had 5 rebounds.
NJIT was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
NJIT won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 53-16.
