Long Beach State got 14 points from Messiah Thompson and another 12 points from Lassina Traore. Aboubacar Traore contributed 6 assists, while Aboubacar Traore cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Iona got 17 points from Idan Tretout in a losing cause and another 16 points from Jean Aranguren. Idan Tretout contributed 5 assists for them, while Greg Gordon had 11 rebounds.
Iona had a 35-33 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Long Beach State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Montana State. Iona will aim to get back on the winning track at Colorado.
