Recap - Drake Defeats Simpson 97-52
Simpson was run off the court by Drake on Friday as they blasted them 97-52 at Knapp Center.
Drake got 19 points from Reed Timmer and another 13 points from Casey Schlatter. C.J. Rivers contributed 6 assists, while Dominik Olejniczak cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Simpson got a 14-point performance from Dillon Gretzky, who was supported by 6 points from Brook Thompson. Austin Turner had 2 assists in a losing cause for Simpson, while D.J. Dafney grabbed 6 rebounds.
Drake led at halftime, 97-52.
Drake had a 46-24 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Drake looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Tulane. Simpson will aim to get back on the winning track at Nebraska Omaha.
